Visit to the Luray Caverns

CLICK A PICFOR A CLOSEUP

On our day off in Luray VA, we travelled more than a km along the caverns. Every step was along breathtakingly beautifully lit grottoes.

An underground lake reflects the stalagtites hanging from the ceiling.

Reflections are from crystal clear water.

The area called the Fish Market.

A formation named after the giant redwood tree.

Formations called curtains.

Fried eggs. I'm getting hungry!

This pillar was at a depth of 167 feet below the surface.
