Camping along the C&O towpath.

One choice of campsites is much like we get in Canada, except for the price. We did not use these sites, too expensive.

We camped for both nights that we spent along the C&O towpath.

We used the free bicyclist - only campsites both times.

 

Every campsite is on the banks of the Potomac river.

The Potomac is one of the most beautiful rivers we have ever cycled along. The only thing that bothered me was that there were so many fish swimming along and jumping in the river . . . and I had no fishing gear. Next time.
