The Spectacular Sunshine Coast !

Shirley puts her shoes back on after braving carnivore earthworms during  a paddling, pedalling over flooding. We took movies of the adventure.

It's the third consecutive washed out summer for Queensland state. We rode for 8 days or more trying to time the less heavy rain.

We achieved our goal of riding Sydney to Brisbane and past.

When the Egrets need rescue, it's wet!

They can run 35 but we can ride 36 kph, and for good measure, Shirley goes first.

The sun tries desperately to rise form the ocean north of Brisbane.

If you click photo, you can see the levels of the water during various floods. Where we are standing, the water would have been over our heads in 1974. During the 2011 flood, I was riding around NZ and watching all the news about flooding over here.

Rivers rising mama!

Along the ocean during the rain.

Baboo grows well in this climate.

An announcer gives reports on the flooding around Kempsey. If you recall, we crossed the Kempsey area about a week before the flooding. At this time, almost all the roads are closed due to flooding. People are stranded in vast flooded areas.
