Recognize this plant?

I talked to a local fellow about the Sorghum crop of 2012.  It is often used in poultry feed.

At three feet, it is about half it's normal height. Yeild will be way down. It is grown a lot here in the central plains, in Eastern Kansas. Sorghum is the fifth most important grain crop in the world.
