Three day bike tour Of Mennonite Contry

Spring has sprung. So we went for a tour from Guelph to north of Waterloo to a place called Heidelberg where we took a Motel for 2 nights. On our second day, we rode from Heidelberg to New Dundee return.

For a closer view - click on the photos. We have as beautiful birds in Ontario as in Australia. So you say they have larger birds? If you ever saw a mature flock of turkeys in an Ontario field - that's impressive. CLICK PHOTOS FOR LARGER VERSIONS

Leaving Guelph where we parked, after a few k's of road, we got onto the rail trails that go between Guelph, up past West Montrose and as far as Millbank.

The trail is well used and it's a hard gravel surface.

Along the trail you cross marshes, tunnels through the cedars. Most of the way there are wide open vistas of the farmland.

When we were on road, there were often paved shoulders. Yet, the traffic has increased on the backroads of Kitchener - Waterloo area.
