Raining cats and dogs!

We've had almost a week of riding in the rain. At least it's warm out, usually above +24C. According to many of the locals, here on the east coast in Ballina, this is the rainy season.

Shirley's a real trooper and is enduring the seemingly endless rain very well.

Only a few days ago, we were riding in intense sunshine. Now there's a danger that my tan will fade befre arriving back in Canada.

They suggest that the best time to see the East Coast, here south of Brisbane, is in the spring - say September or October. That's when it lives up to it's name - The Sunshine Coast.

We travelled along the Clarence River for many k's.

The area, including Grafton is known as the "Northern Rivers"and is just S of Brisbane.
