Yes the weather looks nice out in this photo, but it was taken in about the only 10 minutes that it did not rain today.
One more thing I almost forgot to mention. Remember that I said that it can be quite frightening to be a pedestrian walking around crosswalks attached to roun-abouts. Yesterday on the news we heard the statistic that 1/3 of all traffic fatalities are pedestrians. I guess their rules that the dars have the right of way over pedestrians are not working well. It seems like drivers almost aim for you if they get a chance.
One other thing, cyclist are not so lucky here as they are in the USA or in New Zealnad. There are no bike racks on buses, very few bike paths as you come into main cities, and drivers are not as courteous to cyclists, seems they would rather not see them on the road. But we continue to survive by sticking to the back roads where we can.
